ALM to Jira with Xray Migration Tool
The “ALM Xray Jumper” represents an in-house migration tool designed to streamline the transition from HP ALM (Application Lifecycle Management) to Jira integrated with Xray. Its primary goal is to automate this migration process, ensuring seamless data integrity and reducing the need for extensive manual intervention.
At core it provides tailored features set for
Data Extraction: Extract test cases, requirements, defects, and associated data from HP ALM.
Mapping and Transformation: Map and transform the extracted data to align with Jira and Xray fields and structures.
Data Import: Import transformed data into Jira with Xray.
Validation: Verify data integrity and accuracy post-migration.
Data Extraction:
The tool data extraction process is baked into HP ALM User Interface giving the user the option to select the entities and the related entities that needs to be extracted from ALM to Xray.
Mapping and Transformation
Tool provides feature to generate pre-defined mapping between the ALM project fields and the Xray project fields. There is no limitations on having any number of mapping files for given projects
Data Import
Data Import is performed over Jira and Xray REST API. ALM Data is access over OTA and Database tables and file repository
